Your style.

When someone asks you what your style is, most of us find that quite hard to say. Not only because we don't know it, but also because everyone has his own interpretation. Let’s say we’ll keep it that way. Use your own feeling to describe what your style is. And see it as a something which will grow in time. Studio June participates at Charity Auction dinner

‘World wide there are more than 100 million street children. Kids who have no other option than to provide for themselves. At tender ages they have already experienced a lot of hardship without many possibilities to just enjoy their childhood. Ubuntu gives them a chance to star in their own theatre performance to let them regain their self esteem and dignity. We literately give them a voice in society and in the world.’ *

To donate more money to help these street kids, Ubuntu Streetkids Foundation organized her first Charity Auction in Westerliefde, Amsterdam on the 11th of December. And Studio June participated with an auction item. It went very well and the 4 hours interior advice were auctioned for a very good price. I am really happy with the result and I will post an update as soon as the buyer comes to collect his price…

Lovely illustrations.

These wonderful illustrations of Audrey Jeanne make me very happy. I can imagine hanging these as posters in your toddler’s bedroom. Or just put them in a frame on that old closet. The posters are 30x40cm and cost €20,-. She also develops stickers, badges, postcards and more. If you like you can take a look on her website.

Studio June loves this Danish brand ‘By Nord’ that was founded in 2008 in Copenhagen. They design and produce lovely home accessories for every room in your house. And also for the Holidays they have wonderful Christmas ornaments, stockings, tea towels and super cute gift cards. By Nord is inspired by the diversity of the raw yet beautiful Nordic nature, where the rough and gentle meet. Really something you should take a look at.

The bedroom is a space we often seem to forget when we decorate our house. And that is such a pity because it’s quit easy to make it a really fantastic place. The dining table.

Don’t you just love to sit around the dining table and play a nice game with friends and family, drink a cup of tea or read your favourite magazine while the kids are tinkering some nice stuff for Sinterklaas. Because I like it so much, I have searched for some ‘dining table’ inspiration. Perhaps you’ll be inspired too.

Slettvoll Interior.

While searching the internet Studio June came across this very nice brand Slettvoll Interior. Their style is a rich combination of classic and rustic furniture and accessories in natural and warm colors like grey, brown and gold. It’s a Norwegian brand which unfortunately is only for sale in Sweden and Norway. If you would like to see more, take a look at their website.

RICE.

If you like to color your house, you really should take a look at all the wonderfull products of RICE. A friend and also designer at RICE, Joelle of Studio SjoeSjoe, introduced me to all these wannahaves. The designs are inspired by ‘the good old days’ and have lots of lovely, nice and sweet details. The products are designed in Denmark and manufactured in third world countries.

JEEJ, my website Studio June is online. It took me some time to develop it, and of course there is still a lot of work to be done getting my portfolio all together, but that is ok. Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women. Go Red For Women encourages awareness of the issue of women and heart disease, and also action to save more lives. The movement harnesses the energy, passion and power women have to band together and collectively wipe out heart disease. To show you care, the Dutch Heart Foundation asks all women to dress Red.
