Dress Red Day.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women. Go Red For Women encourages awareness of the issue of women and heart disease, and also action to save more lives. The movement harnesses the energy, passion and power women have to band together and collectively wipe out heart disease. To show you care, the Dutch Heart Foundation asks all women to dress Red. So you know what to wear today….

Woonbeurs – 3 'Go Green'.

The Fashion and Interior trend ‘Go Green’ goes all the way.
Not only by using the color green in your interior and accessories, but also in the use of natural materials like cork, felt, paper, marble and concrete.

We can take the outside in, by using plants and flowers in our home. Or branches and twigs, beautiful stones or leaves or whatever gets on your way through nature.

In the VT Wonen house at the Woonbeurs this all comes together. The industrial/retro interior with steel and used materials is lifted up by all the 'green' elements.

Woonbeurs Amsterdam - 2.

Hi... here I am, back with my second post about the Woonbeurs. And this one I definitely want to share with you, because I think it looks perfelicious.

The strong warm colors and patterns are so explicit and perky, you just have to love it. Maybe not for your own home or every day, but just for now. To look at it and sip it up gives me that sparkling feeling. Marjolein Vonk, who did the styling and production of this '101 Woonideeen' home did a terrific job…

 

 

 

 

 

 

Woonbeurs Amsterdam.

Today I went to the Woonbeurs @ the RAI in Amsterdam. There is a lot to do for all kinds of visitors. From musical chairs to Shoot and chair (which means that you can take a picture of something you like and then 'beam' it via Twitter or Facebook to a big screen at the Woonbeurs plaza). Besides that there are very nice readings, you can get advice from Architects and Stylists, be inspired by all the nice interior items, accessories, styling and colors, Design City and more.

In this post I will share some of the items I saw today. Starting with a few pictures of the Ariadne at Home house. The trends here are the soft colors (pastel shades) and the different patterns that can be used anyway you like it. I love the 'Mix it'  trend. Tomorrow I will share some other trends and pictures so you are all up to date for Fall and Winter.... Enjoy!

Inside Design Amsterdam.

This weekend IJburg (which is a new part of Amsterdam) was all about Inside Design, organised by Elle Decoration. Observation posts, mobile shop windows, nice food campers and lots of cool designers were represented here. With a full doses of enthusiasm and good vibes I enjoyed walking around and seeing all this inspiring stuff. Below you’ll find a compilation of what I discovered. Don’t you just love it.

Yesterday I got my lunch at Uliveto Alimentari. Besides the fact that it looks fantastic on the inside, they also have wonderful Italian and Mediterranean meals. Both for lunch and dinner.
